Job summary

Jobtailor in Owosso, MI seeks a vehicle appraisal professional to inspect and value damaged vehicles in the field. You will determine repair costs, decide repair vs. replace options, and utilize estimating software to prepare and provide supplemental estimates.

This role requires hands-on ability, travel to inspection sites, and collaboration with repair facilities. A high school diploma and state licenses are required, with 3 years of related experience including appraisal exposure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Licenses as required by state guidelines.
• Three (3) years of related experience, including at least one (1) year of appraisal experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Strong knowledge of automobiles.
• Ability to understand and utilize appraisal software.
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent negotiating skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to kneel, squat, bend, climb, crawl, stoop, reach/work overhead.
• Ability to work outdoors in hot and/or cold weather conditions.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to drive up to 4 hours per day.
• Continual use of manual dexterity.
