Job summary

Openwork, on behalf of MSK Covertech, Inc., seeks an Assembly and Installation Technician to assemble, install, and troubleshoot advanced packaging automation systems at the Acworth, GA facility and at customer sites nationwide. You will read schematics, perform mechanical/electrical setup, and travel up to 70%.

Qualified candidates have 4+ years of hands-on experience with end-of-line packaging equipment, strong PLC/RSLogix exposure, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years assembling, installing, or servicing packaging automation equipment.
• Strong ability to read electromechanical schematics and troubleshoot pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
• Willingness to travel 20%–70% and work at customer sites nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, rig, and install packaging machinery per schematics using hand and power tools.
• Mount moving parts, route wiring, test continuity, and set up pneumatic/hydraulic lines.
• Modify parts via drilling, tapping, grinding, and basic welding as needed.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues for peak performance.
• Utilize ERP software for labor tracking and prepare customer documentation.
