Job summary

Kokosing Materials, Inc. is seeking a versatile ground/loader operative to support asphalt plants and terminals across Northeast Ohio. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and hands-on maintenance upgrades and repairs in varying indoor/outdoor environments.

Responsibilities include supervised and unsupervised work, equipment operation, and adherence to training and paperwork protocols, with on-call nights/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Asphalt Plant Operations.
• Ability to work nights and weekends (on-call).
• Cutting and welding experience; ability to pass certification.
• Mechanical knowledge.
• Crane rigging and signaling experience (certification a strong plus).
• Lockout tagout experience and/or certification.
• Possesses a Class B CDL.
• Able to operate manlifts and work at elevations.
• Clean driving record.
• Must pass drug and alcohol screenings on demand.
• Able to work alone or with large groups of team members.
• Able to work in all environments (wind, rain, snow, heat, cold, loud areas).
• Able to lift 75 lbs.
• Able to climb ladders and work up to 125' high.
• Able to solve problems.

Job Description:

Summary:

• The individual will be working at various asphalt plants and terminals in the Northeast Ohio region (Cuyahoga County, Lake County, Portage County, Geauga County) supporting production of hot-mix asphalt through plant upgrades, maintenance and repairs.
• Working environment is a combination of indoor and outdoor.
