Job summary

WestLand Engineering and Environmental Services, a Trinity Consultants team, seeks Archaeology Field Technicians to support our Cultural Resources group in New Mexico. The ideal candidate will have experience with southwestern cultural history and local traditions, and strong ties within the local community.

For out-of-town projects, per diem and single-occupancy lodging are provided. You will conduct archaeological field work under supervision, record artifacts using Trimble GIS, process and

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Archaeology/Anthropology or related field.
• Field archaeology experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in desert environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct archaeological field work: survey, testing, monitoring and data recovery.
• Record artifacts and features, map sites, and maintain records.
• Process and catalog artifacts under lab supervision.
• Perform preliminary analysis and related lab tasks.
• Travel for projects with per diem and lodging provided.
