Job summary

WSP USA seeks up to 80 on-call Field Archaeologists for a long-term Phase I archaeological survey in Pike, Ross, and Pickaway counties, southeastern Ohio. Work from Louisville, KY with a six-on, one-off schedule and nine-hour days, including daily hotel-to-site travel.

Immediate fieldwork begins September 2026 and runs up to four months. This is an on-call hourly role with overtime after 40 hours at time-and-a-half; local candidates from OH, IN, MI, KY, WV are ideal, but all qualified applicants

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to follow instructions.
• Physically able to conduct fieldwork in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Phase I fieldwork including shovel test excavations and artifact recovery.
• Document findings with detailed notes and organize data.
• Collaborate effectively within a field team and adhere to safety policies.
