Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Staff Scientist, Field Applications to enable customers in biologics purification and processing. You will serve as a technical expert in downstream development, delivering training and optimizing applications while collaborating with customers, sales teams, and internal partners.

You will work independently and with teams to troubleshoot issues, demonstrate technologies, and contribute to product development by providing feedback to R&D.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with relevant chromatography/bioprocessing experience.
• Strong communication and analytical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in customer-facing technical support and training.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory.
• Familiarity with GMP/GLP and regulatory considerations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical training and optimize downstream applications for customers.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and demonstrate technologies to support adoption.
• Engage with customers, sales, and internal teams to build strong relationships.
• Lead strategic projects and provide valuable customer feedback to R&D.
• Support lab-to-manufacturing scale bioproduction initiatives.
