Job summary

ASML in Austin, TX seeks an Applications Engineer to support customer transitions to new technology nodes and to ramp up specific nodes. You will translate customer requirements into lithography or metrology challenges and prepare technical presentations for meetings.

Required are 5+ years in a similar role, 4+ years in the semiconductor industry, and 3+ years with MATLAB, Python or JMP. Expect up to 10% travel and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years work experience in a similar role.
• Minimum 4 years experience within the semiconductor or manufacturing industry.
• Minimum 3 years experience with MATLAB, Python, JMP, or similar software.
• Minimum 5 years experience in data analysis and presenting findings.
• Extensive experience with stakeholder and change management.

Responsibilities

• Participate and/or lead projects supporting customer transition to a new technology node.
• Define and drive customer requirements based on technical intimacy with the customer.
• Translate on-product issues into lithography or metrology problem statements and resolve them.
• Identify application product opportunities for customers.
• Conduct data analysis to draw correct conclusions from experimental data.
• Meet with internal and external customers to keep all parties informed of progress.
• Prepare technical presentations for customer meetings.
• Learn and apply the ASML photolithography product portfolio to benefit customers.
