Job summary

Universal Instruments is seeking an Application Engineer to provide pre-sale and post-sale engineering support to our external customers, sales organization, and product teams. The role involves evaluating customer needs, coordinating with the product team, and ensuring timely resolutions for equipment and process applications.

The position requires an associates degree in a technical discipline and 2+ years in capital goods, with preferred PCB assembly equipment experience.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in a technical discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience in the capital goods industry.
• Experience in support of printed circuit board assembly equipment or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides pre-sale and post-sale product and process application support to customers and sales.
• Works with product team to evaluate requested applications/modifications against customer expectations and resources.
• Assists in developing quotations, development time, cost, and schedules for customer projects.
• May assemble and test applications tooling and integrate into base machines.
• Travel domestically and internationally to customer sites or conferences ~40%–50%.
