Job summary

Universal Instruments seeks a systems engineer who develops and implements performance parameters for hardware/software during product development, focusing on accuracy, throughput, pick performance and reliability.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to design verification plans, analyze test data, and drive improvements in system and subsystem performance across multiple projects. Strong communication and teamwork are required, with occasional travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2–4 years of experience or equivalent.
• Experience integrating software, electrical and mechanical HW/SW systems.
• Cross-functional team experience is essential.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop systems-level solutions in accuracy, throughput, pick performance and reliability.
• Predict, measure and analyze product reliability and performance specifications.
• Manage subsystem integration and testing during product development.
• Analyze test data and prepare technical summary reports.
• Facilitate the definition of system-level critical performance parameters.
• Develop system and subsystem verification plans and procedures.
• Provide directions to assigned technicians.
• Support Design for Six Sigma processes and related tools.
