Job summary

Universal Instruments is seeking an application engineer to provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support to customers, sales, and the product team for our capital equipment offerings. You will review PCB designs, assess feasibility, develop quotations with the product team, and assist in training customer staff.

• Associates Degree in a technical discipline with 2+ years in the capital goods industry.
• Experience in support of printed circuit board assembly equipment or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with sales and customers as an engineer on product and process applications.
• Evaluate feasibility and alternatives with customers.
• Coordinate with product team on required applications and timing.
• Review PCB designs and identify projected savings.
• Assist in developing quotations, costs, and schedules.
• Provide technical training to customers’ employees.
