Job summary
Liberty Robotics in Dexter, Michigan is seeking a Field Application Engineer I to join our growing team. You will lead on-site installation, service, and troubleshooting of our advanced 3D vision systems, interfacing directly with automotive manufacturing operations and robotics.
This role offers field travel across North America, hands-on hardware assembly at our Dexter facility, and close collaboration with engineering and project management to drive product improvements.
Qualifications
- Technical degree in Engineering or related practical experience.
- Experience with robotics, controls, sensors, or automation.
- Familiarity with electronic assembly and schematic reading.
- Background in field service or technical customer support; automotive experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead on-site installation, service, and troubleshooting of 3D vision systems.
- Operate and learn 6-axis robots integrated with vision systems.
- Provide customer training and on-site field service reports.
- Collaborate with engineering and project management for product feedback and improvements.
- Assist with shipping/receiving and shop tasks at Dexter headquarters.
