Job summary

Broadcom Inc. is looking for a Software Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to support their XGS‑Tomahawk product series in AI applications. The role involves assisting top cloud customers with development kits and providing technical guidance throughout the sales cycle.

Successful candidates will have a degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and expertise in Ethernet protocols. This is an onsite position in San Jose, with a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a field applications engineer is preferred.
• Strong understanding of software bugs and patch development.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing market requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with deploying the switch development kit.
• Identify software bugs and recommend API usage.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the sales cycle.
• Collaborate with Field Sales Engineers to increase product demand.

Skills

Expertise in Ethernet L2/L3 switching protocols

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to build strong relationships with customers

Understand millions of lines of code and write patches

Team player with "can-do" attitude

Education

BSEE/BSCS or Master's degree in relevant field
