Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a motivated Field Application Specialist to join our team, supporting enterprise data center projects. You will work with sales, PM, hardware/software teams to plan, implement, and maintain customer solutions, ensuring smooth communication and meeting customer goals.

The role involves deploying data center solutions on x86/ARM, troubleshooting compute/storage/networking, and participating in testing and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 1+ years of experience in systems, hardware, or application engineering.
• Basic understanding of x86 and ARM architectures, CPU/GPU platforms, and storage solutions.
• Solid HW system debug and diagnostics skills.
• Familiar with Firmware, Linux, Windows and virtualization platforms is a plus.
• Familiar with server management tools (ipmitool and Redfish API).
• Basic scripting (BASH or Python) is a plus.
• Good communication skills and teamwork with a proactive attitude.
• Ability to manage multiple small tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects for large enterprise customers with senior engineers and management.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and support to deliver hardware and software solutions.
• Manage customer communications and follow up on technical issues or project updates.
• Assist in deploying and maintaining data center and server solutions on x86 and ARM architectures.
• Troubleshoot compute, storage, and networking environments.
• Participate in testing, documentation, and reporting for projects.
• Contribute to setup guides, product notes, and knowledge base articles.
• Support training and pre-sales activities with materials and product features.
• Work cross-department to ensure customer satisfaction and issue resolution.
• Build and demonstrate proof-of-concept meeting customer needs.
• Present corporate branding, product messaging, and solutions to customers.
• Visit on-site facilities to enable solution integration and issue resolution.
• Some travel required (up to 25%).
