Job summary

Delta Electronics Americas is seeking a Field Application Engineer focused on servo systems. You will provide high-level technical support to sales, engineering, and customers, maintain product knowledge, and assist with both standard and customized servo solutions.

The role requires strong communication, travel up to 20% with overnight stays, and the ability to engage early design stages with OEM/ODM partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering is required; additional education a plus.
• 3+ year’s professional experience with servos.
• Experience with Power Electronics is required.

• Ability to understand customer needs and probe for answers, then determine and advocate a solution.
• Ability to work with customers and internal stakeholders and ensure all deliverables are met.

• Coordinate with HQs and Factory in Asia to follow project status.
• Perform tests and installation procedures: schedule project specs, research market trends, and analyze emerging applications.
• Identify risks and raise issues to relevant stakeholders.
• Be a quick learner and adapt to Delta’s culture and processes.

Position Purpose

In this Field Application Engineer role for servo systems, you will require a high level of technical product expertise to achieve desired business outcomes. You will be responsible for all technical aspects of the assigned product lines to support product management, sales, and other functional groups to execute the strategy across Delta businesses, partners and customers.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Performing the desired tests and installation procedures: Preparing detailed schedule regarding the project specification, conducting research on market trends in field application, and analyzing the emerging trends for recommending the new application engineering products.
• Capacity to identify risks and raise issues to relevant stakeholders
• Quick learner and flexible to adopt of company working culture and processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering is required; additional education a plus
• 3+ year’s professional experience with servos
• Experience with Power Electronics is required

• Effective verbal and presentation skills and knowledge of using Microsoft Office products
• Able to travel out of state and country
