Job summary

Concurrent Technologies Plc is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our Support Engineering organization in the United States. You will work closely with Sales, Systems Engineering, and customers to enable and sustain software integration of our hardware into customer applications.

You will customize and optimize software, develop and bring up Embedded Linux BSPs and drivers, and support FPGA-based platforms through software integration, validation, and test development.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with Embedded Linux on x86 platforms.
• Proficiency in C for embedded and low-level software development (register-level interaction).
• Strong debugging and system-level problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Customize and integrate software for Concurrent Technologies products and systems.
• Develop and support Embedded Linux BSPs, kernels, device drivers, and middleware.
• Support FPGA-based platforms through software integration, validation, and test development.
• Create demos and reference configurations for sales and customer evaluations.
• Validate OSes and middleware across Linux, Windows, and VxWorks.
• Develop test software to verify system functionality and integration.
• Diagnose and resolve customer software issues during bring-up and integration.
• Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, and systems engineers on low-level investigations.
• Participate in customer support calls and progress to direct customer engagement.

The Role

As an Embedded Software Engineer joining our Support Engineering organization you will be working closely with Sales, Systems Engineering, and our customers. This position is focused on customer enablement and sustainment where software activities are needed to integrate Concurrent Technologies hardware into customer applications. The role can therefore involve direct customer interaction.

What will I be delivering?

• Customize, integrate, and optimize software for use with Concurrent Technologies products and systems
• Develop,bringup,andsupportEmbeddedLinuxBSPs,kernels,devicedrivers,andmiddleware
• SupportFPGA-basedplatformsthroughsoftwareintegration,validation,andtestdevelopment

• Participate in customer support calls and technical discussions, progressing to direct customer engagement as experience grows

What do I need to bring with me?

Essential knowledge & experience: Amethodical,process-drivenengineerwithstrongproblem-solvingskillswhoiscomfortable working across software, FPGA based systems, and embedded hardware platforms. The ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal engineering teams is essential.

Open to entry level engineering graduate, with a good understanding of the areas below:
