Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Field Service Technician in Houston, TX to provide hands-on service for our Engineered Solutions in Flow and Quality Measurement. You will support custody transfer, analytical gas systems, and CEMs across the Gulf Coast, ensuring safe and reliable operations in a major energy region.

Responsibilities include field maintenance, FAT/SAT involvement, and collaboration with Sales and service teams to craft effective solutions for customers.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma with 3 years relevant field service experience or AAS technical degree.
• 5–10 years of related experience.
• Travel up to 75% domestically; some international travel.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform demand and contract field services, including emergency and scheduled maintenance, focusing on analytical products and CEMs.
• Assist with Factory Checkout (FCO), FAT, and SAT to ensure systems meet quality and functional standards.
• Consult with factory and service centers to deliver technical solutions and collaborate with Sales/BDMs to design customer solutions.
• Support technical training and post-sale service planning with customers for effective product use.
• Develop and refine best practice procedures for startup and troubleshooting of products; address issues.
• Manage overhead, travel, and expenses responsibly, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Serve as the communication point between customers and the business for warranty issues and accountability.
• Stay proficient on new products/enhancements within the Analytical and Detection lines via self-study and factory training.
