Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a results-oriented field sales professional to cover a California territory, meeting automotive businesses, recyclers, and suppliers to grow AIM's network. You will identify purchasing opportunities and build relationships through on-site visits and negotiations.

Candidates must be comfortable outdoors in all weather, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and travel daily with some overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in automotive, recycling, transportation, or related industries.
• Willingness to travel daily within territory and occasional overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle, inspect, and move material during inspections and collections.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers in your territory.
• Negotiate with suppliers and prepare accurate bids based on material value.
• Evaluate catalytic converters and negotiate on-site for profitability.
• Maintain supplier relationships through regular in-person site visits.
• Coordinate with operations and logistics to ensure efficient material transport.
