Job summary

Cytokinetics is seeking a Field Access Manager to drive patient access across the Mid Central territory, covering Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky. This field-based role partners with sales, HUB vendors, and payer stakeholders to resolve reimbursement barriers, verify benefits, and enable therapy initiation with compliant, timely access.

The ideal candidate will reside in the territory, travel as needed, and bring 10+ years in pharmaceutical access or reimbursement, plus deep knowledge

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in business, life sciences, healthcare administration, or related field.
• 10+ years in pharmaceutical field reimbursement, patient access services, HUB services, or market access roles.
• Strong understanding of payer dynamics, reimbursement pathways and PA workflows.
• Experience with HUB systems, case management platforms and data feeds.
• Ability to resolve complex access and reimbursement cases in field roles.
• Knowledge of access data sources (claims, verification, SP reporting) and payer policy tracking.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead proactive identification and resolution of patient access barriers across payer coverage and prior authorizations.
• Partner with HCP offices to verify benefits and communicate documentation requirements.
• Analyze HUB and payer data to identify gaps and implement compliant process improvements.
• Serve as a field access SME, delivering approved education to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Market Access, Patient Services, and HUB vendors to improve pull-through and address friction.
• Support launch readiness and lifecycle management by identifying barriers early and mitigating them.
• Monitor access KPIs and translate insights into action plans.
• Manage high-priority case escalations requiring cross-functional coordination.
• Conduct payer landscape monitoring for policy changes affecting access.
• Provide structured field insights to inform access strategy and HUB optimization.
• Maintain compliant documentation of case activity in CRM systems.
