Job summary

Ardelyx, Inc. is seeking a Field Reimbursement Manager to support patient access for our gastroenterology products.

You will leverage field reimbursement, data analytics, and reimbursement expertise to execute the territory strategy and work with Field Sales and other stakeholders as an access expert. The role requires 6–9 years in reimbursement or market access in pharma/biotech, strong knowledge of payer systems, and willingness to travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. degree with 6–9 years in field reimbursement or related pharma access roles.
• 3–5 years as a field reimbursement manager in public or private access services.
• Strong knowledge of medication access channels and payer types (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial).
• In-depth knowledge of specialty pharmacy and health insurance/benefits.
• Understanding of HCP office processes; GI experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; capable of cross-functional influence.
• Ability to analyze data to identify trends and barriers and translate into actions.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with Patient Services, Field Sales and providers to support patient access.
• Educate HCPs on prior authorization, appeals, and denials.
• Review patient info to resolve coverage challenges when requested.
• Collaborate to identify and address access barriers; implement solutions.
• Coordinate with HUB and specialty pharmacies to remove barriers.
• Monitor initiation trends and work with teams to mitigate challenges.
• Keep up-to-date with payer dynamics and distribution channels.
• Provide education on access and affordability across payer types (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial).
• Adapt resourcing and messaging for HCPs as the healthcare ecosystem evolves.
