Job summary

MasTec Communications Group in the United States is seeking a Laborer/Groundman to develop new skills, work in a safety-minded environment, and support fiber optic construction projects. You will perform manual tasks, assist in fiber blowing, read maps, and help place conduit on active sites to support reliable networks.

Responsibilities include trenching, material movement, equipment operation as trained, and maintaining safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Must work safely and deliver quality work.
• Ability to read maps, drawings, and diagrams for builds.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
• Overhead construction experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Dig trenches, unload materials, and prep job sites with hand tools.
• Assist in fiber blowing and install fiber in conduits.
• Perform general labor on construction sites.
• Place conduit as directed and read project maps.
• Support trenching, material movement, and vehicle operation.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety on site; follow procedures.
• Operate equipment as trained; climb poles safely.
