Hardy Industries is seeking skilled Fiber Testing and Splicing Technicians to support our growing national client base. This on-site role involves testing, fusion splicing, troubleshooting, and documenting results across diverse environments.

The 1099 contractor position offers travel within a broad coverage area, paid on-site hours, and exposure to fiber infrastructure, telecom, and data center projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• Fiber optic testing and troubleshooting experience required.
• Experience with OTDRs, power meters, light sources, and certification equipment.
• Understanding of single-mode and multi-mode fiber systems.
• Must have 1+ year in Fiber, I.T., or Telecom, or 5+ years field experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber optic testing and splicing tasks across multiple environments.
• Conduct OTDR testing, power meter testing, and fiber certification.
• Inspect, clean, and remediate connectors; document test results and records.
• Install, terminate, and test single-mode/multi-mode cabling.
• Identify and resolve customer-premise and network impairments; travel as needed.
