Job summary

IES Communications seeks a Technician II - Fiber to install, terminate, test, and splice fiber across multiple sites. Located in Haskell, TX, the role covers cabling, testing, and documentation to ensure network integrity.

The candidate will work with MMF/SMF, terminate various connector types, and use OTDR tools to ensure optimal performance. On-site mobility within the regional area is required.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must possess and be proficient with listed fiber tools and termination methods.
• Experience with MMF/SMF testing and basic splicing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, and splice fiber cables per standards.
• Install connectors (LC/SC/ST/FC etc.) and perform terminations.
• Perform OTDR testing and troubleshoot cable issues end-to-end.
• Complete paperwork and adhere to labeling standards.
