Job summary

Metronet is seeking a Fiber Technician to install and troubleshoot fiber services for residential and business customers. You will manage the connection from the fiber terminal to customer equipment, educate users on products, and uphold professional standards while supporting service quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• We look for experience with a telecom / fiber company preferred but not required.
• Physical ability to work from kneeling or standing positions for long periods.
• Physical ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs including ladders.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot MetroNet services from the terminal to Customer Premise Equipment (CPE).
• Provide in-depth customer education on all MetroNet products and services.
• Earn commissions by explaining MetroNet services and products to customers.
• Maintain professionalism with customers and associates.
• Work toward meeting key performance metrics.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.
