Job summary

Metronet in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Fiber Technician to perform installations, disconnects and service changes for residential and business customers, covering from the fiber terminal to CPE.

You’ll troubleshoot services, educate customers on Metronet products, and strive to meet performance metrics. The role includes overtime, on-call rotation, and travel as needed in a fast-paced, customer‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Telecom/fiber experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot Metronet services from the terminal to CPE.
• Educate customers on products and services.
• Maintain safety and meet performance metrics.
• Travel and on-call as needed.
