Electric Power Systems is seeking an experienced Fiber Splicing Technician for immediate full-time work. You will terminate, splice, document and test fiber optic lines within customer networks, with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

Candidates should have at least five years of fiber experience and familiarity with EXFO fiber equipment; travel is required. Current fiber certifications preferred, and a commitment to reliable, on-site field work across North America.

Responsabilidades

• Perform fiber tests with OTDRs, light sources, and meters.
• Terminate, splice, bond/ground and test fiber optic equipment to standards.
• Install fiber optic equipment and patch panels.
• Maintain working knowledge of fiber optics.
• Basic knowledge of networking.
• Operate all related fiber tools and equipment proficiently.
• Terminate, splice and install various fiber optic connectors and enclosures.
• Troubleshoot damaged fiber effectively and efficiently.

Job Purpose

Immediate full-time position for experienced Fiber Splicing Technician. Candidate will be responsible for the terminating, splicing, documenting and testing of all fiber optic lines within the customer’s network. Five years’ experience and experience with EXFO fiber equipment preferred. Must be willing to travel. Current fiber optic certifications preferred.
