Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of relevant fiber splicing/telecom outside-plant experience preferred.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction prints/diagrams and related docs.
• Proficiency with OTDR, optical power meter, fiber identifiers, and inspection scope.
• Must follow safety policies and be able to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install, splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cable for construction, operations, maintenance, and restoration.
• Troubleshoot and isolate fiber faults using OTDR, power meter, and related tools; document results.
• Prepare and repair splice cases/enclosures across aerial, buried, and handhole installations.
• Perform comprehensive testing and maintenance to ensure route integrity.
• Coordinate with teams and contractors to resolve outages and meet schedules.
