Job summary

Communications Construction Group, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer II to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecom networks. You will perform upgrades and testing to ensure reliable data transmission across our growing system, while adhering to industry standards.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of fiber splicing experience, a valid DOT medical card, a high school diploma or GED, and a clean driving record. Training is provided in a safety‑first culture and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Two years of fiber splicing experience
• Certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency (preferred)
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• Valid State driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Pass DOT physical exam for valid medical card

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards
• Upgrade existing fiber sheaths with new fiber sheaths
• Document work in daily production reports and maps
• Provide guidance to other splicers as needed
• Complete basic daily vehicle maintenance
