Job summary

Communications Construction Group, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer II to join our team. You will splice optical fibers, perform upgrades, and troubleshoot post-installation circuits to keep our telecom networks reliable.

Responsibilities include maintaining standards, mentoring others, and documenting field work. This role requires 2+ years in splicing, a valid US license, and the ability to pass a DOT medical exam.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of fiber splicing experience.
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure and standards.
• Valid US driver’s license with acceptable driving record and ability to pass a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Upgrade existing fiber sheaths with new fiber sheaths; mid-sheath fibers as needed.
• Provide guidance to other splicers and complete daily maintenance of vehicles.
• Document work through daily production reports and map updates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
