Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer II to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunications networks. Your splicing work keeps connections strong and data moving, supporting a growing network across diverse environments.

In this role, you’ll perform aerial and underground splicing, test and activate circuits, ensure compliance with standards, and provide guidance to fellow splicers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• At least two years of fiber splicing experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• Valid State driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• DOT medical card required.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Upgrade existing fiber sheaths with new fiber sheaths.
• Provide guidance to other splicers, as needed.
• Document work performed through daily production reports.
