Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction, LLC is hiring a Fiber Splicer II to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunications network. You will perform splicing, testing, andactivate circuits to ensure reliable connections across our growing infrastructure.

You will upgrade fiber sheaths, follow safety and industry standards, and document daily work. The role requires 2+ years of fiber splicing experience and a valid DOT medical card where applicable; training is provided to expand your skill set.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver’s license with clean record.
• DOT medical card required.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Upgrade existing fiber sheaths with new fiber sheaths.
• Provide guidance to other splicers as needed.
• Document work through daily production reports and material usage records.
