Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer II to complete optical fiber fusion, maintaining our telecom networks. You’ll splice cables aerially and underground, ensuring reliable data transmission across a growing network.

Qualifications include 2+ years of fiber splicing, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record. DOT medical card required. We offer strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Authorized to work in the United States for the company.
• At least two years of fiber splicing experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical for a medical card.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Upgrade existing fiber sheaths with new fiber sheaths.
• Provide guidance to other splicers, as needed.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work via daily production reports and map updates.
• Other duties as assigned.
