Ervin Cable Construction LLC in Westlake, OH is seeking a Fiber Splicer II to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunications networks. Your splicing work keeps connections strong and data moving reliably as our network expands.

You will perform cable upgrades and splicing both aerial and underground, test and troubleshoot post-installation circuits, and document work daily to track materials and progress while upholding safety and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of fiber splicing experience.
• Valid US driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a DOT medical exam.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot circuits after installation.
• Document work daily and maintain accurate material records.
• Uphold customer and industry standards in all splicing operations.
• Provide guidance to other splicers as needed.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles.
