Ervin Cable Construction, LLC is hiring a Fiber Splicer to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecom networks. You will perform aerial and underground splicing, test and activate circuits, and ensure work meets industry standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Valid state driver\'s license and clean driving record.
• Must pass a DOT physical exam with a valid medical card.
• 6 months of splicing experience or 1 year in telecommunications.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network\'s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records.
• Other duties as assigned.
