Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer II in Gadsden, AL to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecom network. You will perform aerial and underground splicing, test circuits, and document daily work.

Requirements include at least two years of fiber splicing experience, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a DOT medical exam. US work authorization is required; pole climbing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least two years of fiber splicing experience.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card.
• Authorization to work in the United States for the company.
• Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Document work performed through daily production reports and maps.
