Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or relevant work experience.
• At least two years of fiber splicing experience.
• Valid State driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Must pass a DOT medical exam for a valid medical card.
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure is preferred.
• Certified pole climber or ability to demonstrate proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Upgrade fiber sheaths and mid-sheath fibers for entry on loose tubes.
• Document work via daily production reports and map updates.
