Qualifications

• 0–1+ years of fiber splicer experience, preferably on outside plant or system installations.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Splice overhead, underground or submarine cables with guidance.
• Climb poles or towers using bucket access equipment.
• Prepare and expose cable sheath, access conductors and inspect splices.
• Test conductors to identify connections using test tools.
• Read and interpret drawings, maps, blueprints and diagrams.
