Job summary

Pauley Construction, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer to join our Phoenix team. You will splice overhead, underground, or submarine cables as part of outdoor telecom construction to meet customer standards and project scope.

Role requires climbing, lifting up to 80 lbs, and reading blueprints. We offer substantial benefits and a pathway to grow within a regional contractor serving the West U.S.

Qualifications

• 0–1+ years of fiber splicer experience with outside plant installations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Splice overhead, underground or submarine cables with guidance.
• Climb poles or towers and operate a truck-mounted lift-bucket or access underground vaults.
• Prepare cable by stripping sheath to access defective connections and prepare newly installed conductors.
• Test conductors to identify matching lines using a test lamp or bell system.
• Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, or digital drawings, maps, blueprints and diagrams.
