Job summary

Pauley Construction, LLC is seeking a Copper Splicer II to connect and maintain copper wire networks for telecommunications, ensuring reliable phone and internet services by splicing and repairing connections.

You will perform aerial and underground cable upgrades, test and troubleshoot circuits after installation, and ensure splicing meets industry standards. You’ll help other splicers and document daily work with maps and material usage records.

Qualifications

• Two years of fiber splicing experience.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Valid State driver's license with clean driving record.
• Must pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network circuits post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Upgrade existing fiber sheaths with new fiber sheaths.
• Mid-sheath fibers for entry on loose tube or fiber sheaths.
• Provide guidance to other splicers, as needed.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles and document work.
