Pauley Construction, LLC is hiring a Fiber Splicer I to support telecommunications outside plant work. You will splice cables, read blueprints, and perform tests to identify conductor connections in field settings.

The role involves climbing, lifting up to 80 lbs, and working in varying weather. Training and safety programs are emphasized, with an emphasis on reliability and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience with fiber splicing on outside plant or system installations.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, maps, blueprints and diagrams.
• Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs and work in field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Splice overhead, underground or submarine cables with guidance.
• Climb poles or towers and operate lifts; work in vaults as needed.
• Access and prepare cables by removing sheath and insulation.
• Test conductors with test lamp or bell system to identify connections.
• Read mechanical, electrical, and digital drawings and diagrams.
