Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Interest in fiber optics and construction helpful.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Willingness to travel to multiple job sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist Fiber Splicers with fiber optic cable preparation and splicing.
• Learn to perform fusion splicing on single-mode and multi-mode fiber.
• Assist with OTDR and power meter testing.
• Read basic construction prints and splice diagrams.
• Install fiber enclosures, terminals, and related telecom equipment.
• Travel to job sites as needed.
• Maintain records of work completed and safety compliance.
