The position is full-time, outdoors, with overtime as needed. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and contribute to safety

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with on-the-job training.
• Must be able to learn fiber splicing basics.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Strong communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Fiber Splicers with fiber optic cable preparation and splicing.
• Learn fusion splicing on single-mode and multi-mode fibers.
• Assist with OTDR and power meter testing.
• Read and interpret basic construction prints and splice diagrams.
• Install fiber enclosures, terminals, and related equipment.
• Support aerial and underground fiber construction crews.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of work completed.
• Follow all company safety policies and customer requirements.
• Operate hand tools and basic telecommunications equipment safely.
• Travel to job sites as needed.
