Job summary

Dycom Industries, Inc. is hiring a Fiber Splicer in Omaha, NE to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecom networks. Under guidance, you will perform aerial and underground splicing, test circuits, and ensure safety and quality standards.

You’ll need a High School Diploma or GED, a valid state driver’s license, and the ability to pass a DOT physical. 6 months of splicing or 1 year in telecommunications is preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Must have safety-first mindset and ability to follow procedures.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record required.
• Must pass a DOT physical exam to obtain a medical card.
• 6 months of splicing or 1 year in telecommunications preferred.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work through daily production reports and map updates.
• Other duties as assigned.
