Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecom networks. You will splice cables both aerially and underground, test circuits after install, and document daily production.

This role requires safety-first work habits and the ability to meet industry standards. The position offers weekly pay, PTO and holidays, 401(k) with company match, stock purchase, and education reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Authorized to work in the United States
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to pass a DOT medical exam (medical card)
• 6 months splicing experience or 1 year telecom industry experience

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network's circuit post-installation
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards
• Safely navigate working at heights, from underground to in the air
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and correct material usage records
• Other duties as assigned
