Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Technical Specialist – Fiber Termination & Laboratory Testing in the Webster/Rochester area. You will perform precision termination of optical assemblies, operate optical test equipment and environmental chambers, and support prototyping and qualification with engineering teams.

Requires 3–5 years in fiber optic termination, ability to read drawings, and meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on experience in fiber optic termination, optical assembly, or lab testing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision termination of single-fiber and multi-fiber optical assemblies.
• Operate optical test equipment and environmental chambers.
• Build prototypes and qualification units in support of engineering activities.
• Collaborate with engineering to evaluate new assembly concepts and manufacturing feasibility.
• Maintain laboratory records and ensure safety and traceability.
