Job summary

Amphenol Network Solutions seeks a Lab Technician to support our Optics business at the Morrisville, NC site. You will organize lab materials, prepare and execute optical tests, and collect data with minimal supervision.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree in a technical field and 1–5 years in a development lab or test environment; familiarity with fiber components and test equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
• 1–5 years of technical support in a development lab or test environment.
• Experience with fiber cleaving, inspection and splicing preferred.
• Familiarity with fiber optic components and optical test equipment.
• Technical writing skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and set up optical passive product library and supplies.
• Support splicing and testing activities.
• Assist in engineering/testing activities.
• Support quality, supplier, and new product release activities.
• Maintain organized lab, display room, and storage area.
