Job summary

Cable Services Company, Inc. is seeking a Fiber Splicer to install, splice, and maintain fiber optic systems across a multi-state Northeast region.

This role involves frequent overnight travel and on-call duties to support emergency restorations, with work conducted in aerial lifts, underground conduits, and building installations. Applicants should have at least 2 years of fiber splicing experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read maps and schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2+ years fiber optic splicing experience.
• Ability to climb heights up to 30-40 ft in a bucket truck.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience reading design maps and fiber schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic systems.
• Route, splice and terminate fiber in equipment racks at central offices or buildings.
• Read design maps and fiber schematics to guide splicing work.
• Operate aerial lift and related equipment.
• Be on-call for emergency restoration and work with project managers.
• Complete required timesheets and company documentation.
• Maintain safety policies and use of tools and equipment.
