Job summary

Vero Broadband is seeking a Telecom Field Technician to install, test, and maintain fiber optic services for residential and commercial customers in the Texas market. You will travel to job sites, perform fiber splicing, and troubleshoot outages to ensure dependable connectivity.

The role demands safety awareness, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and clear communication with customers and internal teams. A company vehicle is provided for travel and site work.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and handling various fiber optic cable types (single mode & multimode).
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in variable weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install and test new customer services in residential or business locations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network outages and issues.
• Fiber splicing and reading network diagrams/detailed instructions.
• Operate a company vehicle in accordance with safe driving practices.
• Work with Engineering, Technical Support, and Service Delivery to complete installations and service calls.
