Job summary

Vero Networks is seeking a Telecom Field Technician based in our Texas market to perform on-site client installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber equipment. The role emphasizes reliability, strong communication, and exceptional customer service across residential and business sites.

The technician will travel within the Texas market, handle fiber splicing, and coordinate with Engineering and Service Delivery to ensure timely, high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience installing & handling various fiber optic cable types including single mode & multimode.
• Willingness to work in confined spaces, if necessary.
• Keen attention to detail and adherence to established standards.
• Accountability for safety, quality, and productivity.
• Availability to work flexible long hours based on project needs.
• Able to lift up to 50lbs and carry a ladder.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all network field activity on Vero Broadband network.
• Install and test new customer services in residential or business locations.
• Fiber splicing
• Troubleshoot and resolve network outages and issues.
• Perform duties outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Climb and work at elevations exceeding 18 feet.
• Read and interpret Network Diagrams and detailed instructions.
• Operate a company vehicle following safe driving practices.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Technical Support, and Service Delivery to complete installations and service calls.
• Provide excellent customer service.
