Job summary

Glass Roots Construction, LLC in Texas is seeking a Construction Manager to lead underground fiber optic utility projects from inception to completion. You will drive project profitability, manage client relationships, and uphold safety and quality standards in field operations across West/Central Texas.

The role requires 3+ years directing directional drilling teams, strong leadership, and hands-on field work (75-100%). Travel up to 75-100% and a daytime/night rotation schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience with directional drilling crews in utility construction.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work with Environmental Monitors, DOT/OSHA, Municipalities.
• Strong computer skills and data management.
• Willingness to work night shifts on rotation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day fiber optic utility network construction.
• Ensure safety and quality in collaboration with managers.
• Work in the field with crews 75-100% of the day.
• Verify progress using utility locators and depth/offset checks.
• Collect bore logs, photos, and data for QC.
• Apply quality metrics to completed work.
• Rotate night shifts.
