Glass Roots Construction (GRC) is seeking a high-performing Construction Manager to lead underground fiber optic utility projects from inception to completion in West/Central Texas. You will drive project profitability, manage client relationships, and ensure operational excellence in a leadership role.

In this position you will mentor field teams, enforce safety standards, coordinate with DOT/OSHA and environmental monitors, and work 75-100% in the field.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years’ experience working with and around directional drilling crews in the utility construction industry.
• Proven supervisory experience is required.
• Ability to work constructively with Environmental Monitors, DOT/OSHA, Municipalities, and other stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of utility construction practices and terminology; ability to read, interpret, and adjust construction drawings/prints.
• Direct experience with utility locating systems.
• Strong computer skills and experience in data management.

Aufgaben

• Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day construction activities of a fiber optic utility network.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure safe and quality construction practices with internal and subcontract crews.
• Field Engagement: Work in the field with crews 75-100% of the day.
• Field Verification: Verify progress using a utility locator to identify depths and offsets.
• Data Collection: Collect pictures, bore logs, and data for Quality Control requirements.
• Quality Assurance: Apply quality metrics to ensure finished products meet specs.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work night shifts on a rotation basis.
